Santa Rosa Plain On Farm Recharge Pilot Project - Fulton Road

The Santa Rosa Plain On Farm Recharge Pilot Project - Fulton Road is a limited duration feasibility study conducted by the North Coast Regional Water Board at the Kendall-Jackson Wine Estate & Gardens in Santa Rosa, California. The project aims to evaluate the potential for full-scale groundwater recharge by raising shallow groundwater elevation and potentially recharging deep groundwater. This will be achieved by applying up to two feet of groundwater to two 5-acre fields at a rate of one to three inches per day, utilizing existing groundwater wells, pumps, and either drip irrigation or impact sprinkler systems. The operational period for water application is scheduled from November 1 to April 1. A primary objective of the pilot is to test the leaching potential of recharge in the area to provide critical data for future recharge efforts involving Mark West Creek water.
