The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Southlawn Pond Project. Sealed bids will be received by the Lawrenceville Finance Department, 70 S. Clayton Street, Main Level, Room M46A, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046 until 2:00 P.M. local time on Thursday, October 1, 2026 and then publicly opened and read aloud. Any bid received after 2:00 P.M. will not be accepted. Bid envelope should be marked on the outside with Bid Number, name of Bidder, date and time of opening. The work to be performed by the Contractor consists of but is not limited to the following: The project is located along SR 124/Scenic Hwy in Lawrenceville, Georgia near the Jackson Street and New Hope Road intersection. Work will include but is not limited to demolition of existing stormwater infrastructure and pond components, dewatering of the pond, excavation and grading for pond modifications, construction of a new outlet control structure, installation of storm drainage piping and appurtenances, erosion and sediment control measures including temporary and permanent stabilization, landscape installation and planting within and around the pond area, installation of a chain link maintenance access gate, electrical service and conduit/wiring for a fountain system, and installation of the fountain pump and controls, along with all associated restoration of disturbed areas. All construction operations must be conducted from 8 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. Contractor to follow the GDOT & MUTCD Traffic Control standards and allow moving traffic in the intersections at all times. Pedestrian traffic must be rerouted with appropriate MUTCD signage. Copies of the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Lawrenceville City website www.lawrencevillega.org . A pre-bid conference is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Lawrenceville City Hall located at 70 South Clayton Street, 4th floor City Council Chambers.
