The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), through its Middle East District (SWM) anticipates soliciting and awarding a contract to provide the necessary construction services as described below. The project is located at Muwaffaq-Salti Air Base approximately 100km East of Amman, Jordan. This will be a firm-fixed price (FFP) Design-Bid-Build (DBB) contract awarded on the basis of full and open competition in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15 ? Contracting by Negotiation and FAR Part 36 ? Construction and Architect Engineer Contracts. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this forthcoming Solicitation or any follow up information requests. SWM is evaluating the ability of firms to construct a Secure Storage Facility (SSF). The SSF includes a single-story open storage warehouse for Critically Controlled Assets (CCA) and a single-story US Government (USG) SSF manager?s administration facility with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and necessary utilities. The construction includes conduits that connect into the USG Communication Manhole in the vicinity of the Royal Jordanian Air Force Combined Defense Operations Center and connections to existing adjacent utilities. Construction also includes perimeter security fencing for the warehouse with a vehicle gate and personnel access gates in addition to pavement connections to existing adjacent roads and/or parking area(s).
