Service Contract on iCyt Reflection Cell Sorter

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) intends to negotiate with and award on a sole source basis, a purchase order for Preventive Maintenance Inspection for the iCyt Reflection Instrument with iCyt Mission Technology, Inc., Champaign, Il. This acquisition will be processed under FAR Part 13. This instrument supplies flow cytometry and cell sorting capabilities for the NIA research program. This service contract is necessary to provide continuous service of this instrument to investigators and to keep downtime at a minimal which results produce less lost time of productivity and fiscal losses due to failure necessitating repair. NIA initailly purchased this Instrument from iCyt, therefore it is imparitive that coverage be continued to iCyt to avoid warranty being discontinued. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intenet is not a request for competitive quotations however, the government will consider responses submitted on or before 1:00PM E.T., October 22, 2010 to Alberta Galek, contact@example.gov. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the governement to determine if it can meet the above specifications described herein. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
