ABOUT THE CONSULTATION
This consultation provides a unique opportunity for Canadians to contribute to a robust, bilingual procurement process that respects language rights across our country.
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) welcomes your comments on our updated official languages policy for procurement.
POLICY HIGHLIGHTS
The policy advances PSPC’s commitment to a procurement process that reflects Canada’s bilingual identity.
The policy extensively covers sourcing, translating and tendering with professionally sealed documents for real property requirements, taking into consideration the provincial and territorial regulations that govern the practice of architecture, engineering and geoscience.
In addition, the policy defines: contractual requirements in relation to services and communications to the public; official language rights of employees; enhanced roles and responsibilities of buyers and clients; and international specifications and standards.
