The solicitation will be issued on or before 5/25/2012 on www.FBO.gov Statement of Work. The project consists of replacing 2 existing timber bridges and their timber crib abutments. Sand Creek #1 bridge is the northernmost bridge and will be installed just east of the existing bridge location. The existing bridge shall be utilized for a bypass and stream crossing while the new bridge is constructed. The Dickinson Creek bridge is located approximately 1000 feet south of Sand Creek #1 on the Dickinson Park Road, NFSR #329. It will be replaced in the same location as the existing bridge and no bypass / stream crossing opportunities exist. The road will have to be closed to all traffic during reconstruction. Work includes demolition of old timber bridges; structural excavation and backfill; installation of timber crib abutments; installation of laminated wood bridge superstructures with side rails; roadway approach rails; and aggregate surfacing.
