Full Description

The 48th Contracting Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, UK intends to award a sole source procurement to Siemens Enterprise Communications, Inc for the System Upgrade and PC Refresh for our Command Post Facility. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 811213. The business size standard is not applicable to this acquisition. The proposed contract is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 13.106(b). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 10 days (NLT 17 Sep 2012 09:00 EST) after date of publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
