Amendment 0001 – August 3, 2026


The purpose of this amendment is to provide a revision to the Statement of Work, add AMS Clause 3.2.2.3-41 PERFORMING WORK (APR 2024), and to extend the Request for Information (RFI) and bid due dates.


The Statement of Work is amended as follows:


  1. Page 2, Add - Item A Installations, New Air Conditioners, number 1:   Add after “Provide and install” the following: “ 2 each new 15 Ton Carrier Omnizone  50 XCR HVAC units or.”  Any unit submitted for approval must be American Made.
  2. Page 4, Change - Ceiling Tiles , change item 1a, to “50” not 25.
  3. Page 5, Clarification - Security Bars: There is no requirement for any exterior penetrations and therefore no need for any security bars installation.


AMS Clause 3.2.2.3-41 PERFORMING WORK (APR 2024) “The Contractor must perform, using its own organization, work equivalent to at least twenty-five (25) percent of the total amount of work under the contract on the site. The CO may modify this contract to reduce this percentage if the Contractor requests a reduction and the CO determines that it would be to the FAA's advantage to do so” has been added to Section I.



The Request for Information (RFI) due date has been changed to August 7, 2026; 2:00pm. Lastly, the proposal due date is hereby changed from August 11, 2026; 3:00pm EDT to August 18, 2026; 3:00pm EDT.  All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.



Review the new information and all requirements in accordance with SA18 PROPOSAL CONTENT on page(s) 57-58 of the solicitation prior to submitting a bid/proposal.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Acquisitions-AAQ-570, College Park, GA, is issuing Screening Information Request (SIR) Number 697DCK-26-R-00315, SLC ARSR HVAC Replacement, Salt Lake City UT, as detailed in the Statement of Work (SOW) attached to the Solicitation in accordance with the Acquisition Management System (AMS) 3.2.2.2 Policy as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.



The selected Contractor will remove and dispose of the existing two (2) HVAC units and associated ductwork; and provide and install two (2) new York Johnson Controls 15-Ton (DSV180A2E1DAA0A-D), or FAA approved equal, air-conditioning units with ductwork, HVAC controls, and all associated components.



The FAA contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price Contract as a result of this solicitation.



This requirement is set-aside and offered to all small business concerns.



The NAICS code for this acquisition is 238220 – Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning Contractors - $19 Million.


The estimated cost magnitude for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000.


Projected Period of Performance for this project is approximately 30 calendar days.

When responding to this Screening Information Request/Request for Proposal (SIR/RFP), each offeror is required to submit a technical proposal AND a cost proposal in accordance with Clause SA18 – Proposal Content outlined in Section L, page(s) 57-58 of the Screening Information Request (SIR).




In accordance with SIR Section L provision 3.2.2.3-14 entitled, "Late Submissions, Modifications, and Withdrawals of Submittals," any proposal received after the due time and date of 3:00p.m. EDT, August 11, 2026, will not be considered.  In addition, if all requested information is not furnished in the offeror's proposal, the offeror's proposal may be determined to be non-responsive and ineligible for consideration for contract award.
