Full Description

The Commvault software was acquired in 2010 for the purpose of automating backup and restoration functions for all of the Utility’s Smart Grid functions, including databases, virtual servers, and physical servers. The software uses both onsite local storage (HPE Nimble) and, in the event of a catastrophe, Microsoft Azure Cloud Storage services. This ensures both a quick restoration in case of data failure or a full system restoration in an “act of God” scenario. Staff identified an approved cooperative contract, Sourcewell Cooperative Contract 081419-SHI through SHI International Corporation, for procurement of the CommVault renewal. The maintenance agreement will provide coverage from March 29, 2024 through March 28, 2025.
