Snow Removal and Winter Maintenance Services

Victoria Park Community Homes, managing the Slovak Village Non-Profit Housing Corporation, is seeking qualified suppliers for snow removal and winter maintenance services at 144 Fifth Avenue in Brantford, Ontario. The contract is for a three-year term running from November 15, 2026, to April 15, 2029. The scope of work includes snow clearing, ice control, and proactive salting and sanding to ensure safe access for pedestrians and vehicles. Key performance standards require snow clearing to begin when accumulation reaches 50 mm, with final clearing completed within four hours of snowfall cessation and all areas safe by 7:00 a.m. the following morning. Emergency and ice control services must be available 24/7. Suppliers must attend a mandatory site visit and submit signed quotations by September 17, 2026. Required qualifications include a valid WSIB Clearance Certificate and Commercial General Liability Insurance of at least $2,000,000 per occurrence. Pricing should be provided as monthly rates for snow clearing and salting/sanding, as well as flat rates for on-call services and hourly rates for Bobcat snow relocation. Invoices are submitted monthly to the VPCH Finance Department with payments issued on the 5th of each month. Any work beyond the contracted scope requires prior written authorization via a Purchase Order to be eligible for payment.
