The Rochester Genesee Regional Transportation Authority (RGRTA) plans to establish a five-year sole source contract with Trapeze Software Group, Inc. for ongoing software maintenance and support services related to various proprietary modules used in its public transit operations across multiple counties in New York. Since Trapeze owns the exclusive licenses to these software products, it is the only known provider capable of delivering the required support and maintenance. The contract aims to ensure continued operational efficiency and system integrity for RGRTA’s transit services, with an estimated value ranging from $500,000 to $2,000,000. The advertisement emphasizes that, although this is a sole source award, other firms that believe they can meet the licensing and support requirements are encouraged to respond within the response deadline of May 16, 2024, for potential consideration through a competitive process. The notice also clarifies that this procurement is exempt from standard advertising procedures due to its sole source nature, with RGRTA acting as the contracting authority and the primary contact being Sarah Chappell. The contract will be executed at RGRTA’s location in Rochester, NY, and will serve multiple counties including Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, and Wyoming. Interested parties can find additional details and submit inquiries via the provided contact information or through the official NYS Contract Reporter link.
