The 144th Fighter Wing of the California Air National Guard plans to award a sole-source, firm fixed-price delivery order to Coffman Electrical Equipment Co. for a trailer-mounted 300 kilowatt load bank kit, to be procured under the General Services Administration’s Multiple Award Schedule contract 335999 for All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing. This procurement is justified on the basis that Coffman is the only vendor capable of providing portable load banks that meet the operational requirements, making competition infeasible. The order includes a trailer-mounted 300 kilowatt load bank, a weather-resistant enclosure, a manual cable reel, a single-axle trailer, and a set of seven load bank cables, all designed for durability and field use in military environments. The contract will be executed against an existing GSA schedule to streamline acquisition, ensuring rapid delivery and technical compliance without the need for competitive bidding. The performance location is in Fresno, California, and the procurement is managed by the 144th Contracting Office under the Department of Defense, with the solicitation number W50S6T26FA012 and a posted date of July 16, 2026.
