INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE – 36C26326Q0919 – DESCRIPTION AND INSTRUCTIONS


Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a sole source award to One Lambda, Inc. for HLA Pro Primary. This award will be a purchase order for the equipment and under FAR Part 12 of the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul. The NAICS code is 334516 and the size standard is 1000 employees. The PSC is 6640.


This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations.  The Government will consider responses received by the closing date of this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a full and open competitive acquisition or a small business set-aside competitive acquisition. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this announcement.


If the Government decides to compete this requirement in the open market, a synopsis shall be issued utilizing the combined synopsis/solicitation procedure identified in FAR 12 of the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul.


A determination to not compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.


Description of the Requirement:



One Lambda Inc, HLAPROPR – allows for automation of the One Lambda single antigen Class I and Class II assay which are utilized daily in the VA HLA lab for patient care.  The One Lambda HLA-Pro is an automation solution for what is currently a completely manual method for single antigen assay for the Iowa City VA HLA lab. The reagents that are currently utilized in the Iowa City VA HLA lab are purchased from One Lambda and this HLA-Pro automation is specifically designed to utilize their reagents for Class I and Class II antigens in an automation platform that; takes patient specimens, prepares them, adds reagents, washes the   specimen/reagent and finally prepares the specimen for analysis in the Luminex 3-D instrument.  One Lambda HLA-Pro automation is specifically designed to use the One Lambda reagents that the VA HLA labs currently utilize for the Class I and Class II antibody assay. This automation will increase consistency and efficiency of the lab Single antigen lab results.
