Full Description

THis posting is in accordance with FAR 15.203 Publicizing and Response Time. This is not an invitation for bid or proposal. No proposals will be reviewed in response to this posting. NAVFAC EXWC will collaborate to demonstrate a carbon-dioxide (CO2)-based garments and textile cleaning capabilities for the Naval Construction Group 1 (NCG-1) laundry needs. The demonstration will allow cleaning of wide variety of operational fabrics and garments used by troops like Nomex® and other fire retardant materials, Kevlar®, wool uniforms, special coating or treated fabrics, and oily rags. This is the GOVT project. The contracted laboratories, through this sole source, HP White and Intertek, need to identify the cleanliness, degradation, thermal, fire retardant, durable water repellency, and ballistic qualities of the items being used for this project via a written report and a final summary report. The garments will be provided as Government Furnished Information and are not part of this contract.
