Sources Sought for Fort Missoula Total Cemetery Operations

The National Cemetery Administration is conducting a sources sought inquiry to identify qualified contractors for total cemetery operations and maintenance at the Fort Missoula Post Cemetery in Missoula, Montana. This performance-based service contract, categorized under NAICS 561730, involves the comprehensive management of a 1.0 to 1.24-acre facility. Key responsibilities include grounds maintenance such as mowing, weed eating, trimming, and debris removal, as well as specialized cemetery services including grave excavation, interments of casketed and cremated remains, and the setting and cleaning of approximately 251 monuments. The contractor must adhere to National Standards and Minimum Acceptable Levels of performance to maintain the facility as a National Shrine, ensuring the utmost respect and care for the interred veterans. The government intends to establish a firm fixed price contract with a base period and four option years.
