South Durbin Creek Improvements RFB

Renewable Water Resources has issued a solicitation for the South Durbin Creek Improvements Project in South Carolina. The scope of work involves the installation of approximately 16,700 linear feet of gravity sewer main using 24-inch DIP and PVC, and approximately 27,000 linear feet of 20-inch PVC forcemain, including all necessary valves and appurtenances. A central component of the project is the installation and start-up of the South Durbin quadplex pump station, which features four 175 hp pumps, a generator, a Hydrodyne screen, a compactor/conveyor, a washer, a chemical feed system, and a back-up manual screen. The project is governed by AIA standards rather than federal regulations, with a substantial completion deadline set for 730 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted electronically via the PlanetBids portal by November 4, 2024. Award decisions will be based on a trade-off evaluation of the bidder's responsibility, financial status, work history, and the fairness of unit pricing relative to the engineer's estimate. Required deliverables include approved shop drawings, material certifications, and as-built documentation. The contractor must adhere to strict packaging and labeling standards, particularly for electrical equipment, and comply with various ASTM, AWWA, and ASME quality standards. Performance and payment bonds, along with comprehensive insurance coverage, are mandatory requirements for the selected contractor.
