SRE BUILDING ROAD WIDENING

Wicomico County is soliciting electronic sealed bids for the SRE Building Road Widening project, identified as solicitation 2027-IFB-024. The project involves widening the asphalt service road behind SRE Building 21 and increasing the radii of six sweeps onto the building driveway apron to better accommodate large vehicle entry into the SRE Equipment Bay. The County intends to award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible vendor, evaluating candidates based on capacity, skill, professional standing, past performance, and insurance adequacy. All work must be completed by December 31, 2026. For contracts exceeding 100,000 dollars, a 5 percent bid bond is required, and the successful vendor must provide performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract price. Liquidated damages for delays are tiered based on contract value, ranging from 100 to 1,000 dollars per calendar day. Payments will be issued within 30 days of receiving a proper invoice.
