REQUIREMENT Parks Canada requires a contractor for the supply of logs and the construction of two timber check dams. In addition, the supply and installation of a network of French drains in the sub-soil of a slow-moving active landslide are requested. The broadcast seeding of balsam poplar seeds on the slope at an elevation over 500 m above the roadway are proposed to promote live silt fencing in addition to mountain alder staking. The site is active landslide and debris flow adjacent to the Trans-Canada Highway in Glacier National Park. Work also includes, danger tree identification and removal, repair of existing log check dams and further diversion of water within the landslide catchment. TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
