REQUIREMENT Parks Canada requires fabrication and installation of a weather tower to be constructed within Mount Revelstoke National Park (MRNP) adjacent to the townsite of Revelstoke, BC. This steel structure will aid the Avalanche Control Services (ACS) team to better understand the snowpack in the region to ensure the safety of travellers on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) as it passes through MRNP. Access to the site is by helicopter. Clachnacudainn Pit, located at MRNP TCH km 13.2, on the North side of the TCH, is the helicopter staging area. In addition to the new tower, a similar existing tower in Rogers Pass Compound requires rust removal and application of interzinc, or equivalent, primer. TWO STAGE SELECTION PROCESS This posting is the Stage Two of a two-stage solicitation process: the first stage was to evaluate the qualifications of all interested suppliers. The second stage (Stage Two) is to invite the qualified suppliers to provide a financial bid on the project based on the specifications and drawings. Only qualified suppliers have been invited to bid.
