Standing Offer for Uniform Cleaning, Pressing & Mending Services

The Regional District of Central Okanagan is seeking a supplier under a three-year Standing Offer Agreement, running from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2029, to provide uniform cleaning, pressing, and mending services. The scope of work covers the Bylaw Department and three fire departments: Ellison, North Westside Fire Rescue, and Wilson’s Landing. Services for the Bylaw Department include twice-weekly pick-up and drop-off at the Canine Services Building in Kelowna. For the fire departments, staff will drop off uniforms at the supplier's facility, which must be located within a five-kilometer driving distance of the Orchard Park Shopping Centre. To be eligible, respondents must have at least two years of experience in uniform cleaning and pressing, the ability to provide sewing and mending services, and availability 52 weeks per year. Mandatory requirements include maintaining $2,000,000 in both Commercial General Liability and Automobile Liability insurance, as well as maintaining active standing with WorkSafe BC. The contract emphasizes quality and environmental standards, requiring the use of green cleaning agents where possible and providing for same-day re-cleaning at no cost for items with residual odors or stains. The award will be granted to the respondent who meets all prerequisites and submits the lowest Total 3-Year Scenario Cost. Pricing must remain fixed for the duration of the agreement, and while estimated quantities are provided for Bylaw and Fire Department sets, no minimum quantities are guaranteed. Invoicing is to be submitted monthly, with payment terms set at 30 days from receipt.
