Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 62251 for Timber Harvesting Plan (THP) 2-25-00131-SIS Circle P

Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 62251 is an agreement between the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) and Jad Dickson FWS Forestry to allow the drafting of water from Class I and Class II watercourses. This project is associated with Timber Harvesting Plan (THP) 2-25-00131-SIS, which was approved by the lead agency, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), on December 30, 2025. The activities are located in Siskiyou County, approximately six miles northwest of Hornbrook on the West Fork of Cottonwood Creek, specifically within Sections 34, 04, and 06 of Township 48N, Range 7W, and Township 47N, Range 7W. The agreement is subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and State CEQA Guidelines. CDFW, acting as a CEQA-Responsible Agency, has adopted findings from CAL FIRE confirming that the project will not cause significant environmental effects provided that required mitigation measures are implemented. The agreement was signed on January 7, 2026, by Richard Klug, Senior Environmental Scientist. Administrative oversight is managed by Kim Backes of the CDFW Northern Region in Redding and Jon Woessner of CAL FIRE in Santa Rosa. No payment is required for this agreement under the provisions of Public Resources Code section 4629.6 (c).
