SUB MPR renovation AV

The SUNY New Paltz campus is currently finishing renovation of our Student Union Building 3rd floor and MPR space.  Part of this construction involves providing and installing audio video equipment at certain locations throughout the newly renovated space within the building.  The bulk of the AV install will occur in our Multipurpose room with additional minor work in a few accessory rooms.  The detailed extents of this work is outlined in the accompanying plans and specifications.  The A/V installer will be responsible to protect all “in-place” equipment and work during the installation of the A/V equipment.  All work will need to be coordinated with the onsite general contractor and electrical contractor.  Attending bi-weekly job update and coordination meetings will be required. The State University of New York at New Paltz will receive sealed bids for project number 081070 titled SUB MPR renovation AV bid package until 2 pm. local time on July 30, 2024, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.   All work on this Contract is to be completed by January 20, 2025.   Complete sets of Contract Documents for bidding may be obtained from Elissa E. Greene, SUNY Paltz, 1 Hawk Drive, New Paltz, NY 12561.   Bidding and Contract Documents may be examined free of charge at the campus and at the following locations. It is the address of a house directly across the street from us/ We are next to a loading dock.   Bids must be submitted in duplicate in accordance with the instructions contained in the Information for Bidders. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid.   It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
