The City of Irvine is conducting a supplemental update to its existing On-Call Program for professional services, which is part of a broader multi-year procurement process. This update is specifically aimed at firms that were not awarded contracts during the initial Request for Proposal (RFP) process and is scheduled to occur after the first and/or second years of the three-year contract term. Current On-Call firms are not eligible to submit proposals for this update unless they are seeking to expand into new specialty areas not previously contracted. The process involves a formal RFP, with proposals required to be submitted electronically through the City’s BidsOnline system by January 27, 2025. Only firms that have downloaded the RFP documents from the system are eligible to participate, and proposals submitted via other methods will be disqualified. The contract, valued between $500,000 and $2,000,000, covers various professional categories and specialty areas, with updates focusing on five of these areas. The solicitation is open to firms registered on the City’s bidding platform, and the scope of services is detailed in the accompanying RFP document. The primary point of contact for inquiries is Vien Nguyen, reachable via email or phone. This initiative underscores the City’s ongoing efforts to ensure a diverse and qualified pool of consultants for its professional service needs within California, emphasizing transparency and adherence to the established procurement procedures.
