Full Description

The Lake States Acquisition Team announces a Total Small Business Set-Aside opportunity for the Sylvania Wilderness Access Road Reconstruction Phase II project on the Ottawa National Forest. Work includes but is not limited crushing and shaping existing asphalt pavement, crushed aggregate placement, minor culvert installations, drainage repairs (ditches), concrete 3-sided arch installation, riprap placement, asphalt paving, & restoration. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204, the estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310. The Small Business Administration size standard is $33.5 million. Contractors are required to be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and have completed the online representations and certifications. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis, the pending solicitation or any follow up information requests. The solicitation will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about June 6th, 2014. No hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents and applicable amendments, if any, will be provided. To receive the entire solicitation package and any applicable amendments, prospective offerors must download them from the FedBizOpps website. Prospective offerors are advised per FAR 52.232-18 that funds are not presently available for this contract and no award can be made unless and until funds become available. It is anticipated that funds will become available prior to the end of the current fiscal year, September 30, 2014, at which time an award may be made. The contractor shall provide all management and project administration services, quality control, schedule. The intent of this contract is to replace the existing culverts, furnishing and installing new concrete 3-sided arch structure, excavation, back-fill, grading, gravel, asphalt, slope stabilization, erosion control, and related work. A PRE-BID/PRE-PROPOSAL CONFERENCE IS PLANNED DURING WHICH POTENTIAL OFFERORS MAY OBTAIN A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE WORK REQUIRED. DATE, TIME AND LOCATION OF THIS MEETING WILL BE POSTED WITH THE SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS ON OR ABOUT JUNE 6TH, 2014.
