THIS IS AN INFORMATION UPDATE ONLY. This Update is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. The purpose of this update is to communicate to industry the current status of the acquisition. This update does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Air Force is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred as a result of this update. Update Please be advised of the following regarding the SE&I-2 contract: 1. The Acquisition Strategy Document is currently in coordination and approval is expected in April 2019. 2. Based on market research and the scope of this contract, the Launch Enterprise Systems Directorate (SMC/LE) intends to solicit this contract in a full and open competition. 3. The period of performance for this contract is expected to be ten years. There will be one (1) base year and nine (9) one-year options. 4. SMC/LE estimates more than 200 FTE will be needed to fulfill the performance requirements under this contract. 5. SMC/LE does not intend to use the OASIS IDIQ to fulfill this contract requirement. The competition will be held on a standalone basis subject to FAR 15 competitive negotiation procedures. 6. SMC/LE will require in the RFP that a specific percentage of business is allocated to small businesses. 7. The SE&I program of record will expire in March 2020. 8. The draft request for proposal is anticipated for release in mid-spring 2019. 9. The request for proposal release date is anticipated for mid-summer 2019.
