Sprint back in 2020, was looking to put equipment on the 400' Tower, but it never happened. Now Sprint and T-Mobile merged and T-Mobile is interested in leasing space on the 400' tower and the Bronson Rd Water Tower. Typically they have been installing 9 Antennas, 6 RRUs (remote radio units), 4 hybrid lines (fiber optic cable & power) and asking for a 10x20 lease area, with concrete pad, for ground space for the cabinets (for radios and transistors) to hold. Now the Bronson Rd Water Tower has to be evaluated for equipment that will need to be installed. T-Mobile will need a CWAP and structural analysis of the tower relative to the proposed load. Typically the carrier will do the structural analysis and provide it to our Engineers for review. Real Estate may want to do an environmental condition of property report. This will need AM Branch to complete a new out lease package and send it up to Real Estate Business Line. The package will then go to OPNAV for approval. The process is taking anywhere from 12 to 18 months. Diane Quigley with our company looked at this 400’ Lattice Tower for Sprint in 2020 and then Sprint stopped working on new sites. As you know Sprint and T-Mobile have merged and now T-Mobile is interested in leasing space on the tower. Located off of Tisdale Rd - 6509 SAMPSON RD.
