The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is soliciting bids under Invitation to Bid (ITB) number 48400-DOT0003432 for bridge maintenance and repair work focused on slope paving at the Cherokee I-575 interchange corridor in Georgia. This procurement is conducted under GDOT’s authority to acquire ancillary services for road construction and maintenance projects and is governed by a Master Maintenance Service Agreement (MMSA) awarded through a prequalification process. Only contractors qualified for bridge maintenance and repair and holding the referenced MMSA are eligible to participate. The scope of work includes removal and replacement of deteriorated slope paving, installation of drop inlets and storm drain pipes, void stabilization using flowable fill, and restoration that meets GDOT’s quality and safety standards. Performance must comply with specified sections of the Georgia Standard Specifications for Construction (including provisions related to general construction, clearing, traffic control, and joint sealing), and work must be completed within 150 days following a mandatory Prework Meeting, with liquidated damages applicable for delays. Bids will be evaluated on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis, requiring complete compliance with mandatory submissions such as work plans, traffic control plans, equipment and personnel lists, insurance, performance and payment bonds, and compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements, including the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act affidavit. The contract features onsite inspection and acceptance by GDOT personnel with strict adherence to specified GDOT standards and quality criteria. Submissions must be made electronically via the Team Georgia Marketplace™, following detailed instructions in the solicitation exhibits, with hard copies due post-award. Security and compliance certifications, including non-debarment and no participation in certain prohibited activities, are mandatory. The contract does not explicitly use federal acquisition regulations but relies on GDOT’s own specification sections and requirements for contractor qualifications, work performance, and contract administration, ensuring the maintenance project meets prescribed standards within the timeframe and budget constraints set forth by the State of Georgia.
