Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) System

The National Research Council of Canada is seeking to procure three different scale, fully automated, single-use flow path compatible bench top Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems to enhance its Human Health Therapeutics portfolio’s capacity for developing purification processes for recombinant proteins, viruses, and virus-like particles. The equipment must be delivered and installed at the NRC Montreal site located at 6100 Royalmount Avenue, with all deliverables, including installation and training, required within 12 weeks of contract award. Each TFF system must be capable of transitioning to a 21 CFR Part 11 compliance setting, operate within a temperature range of 0–40°C and humidity of 10–90%, and meet Biosafety Level 2 standards with liquid splash proof and cleanable surfaces. The contract is structured as a fixed price agreement, with all costs—including equipment, software, peripherals, cabling, manuals, one-year warranty, installation, training, and delivery—required to be included in lump sum pricing per line item. The offer must be submitted electronically by May 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT, with no hard copy or fax submissions accepted. Offers must be under 10 MB in size, without compressed files or external links, and must be submitted to the designated email address. Bidders must possess a valid Procurement Business Number and comply with the Policy on Reciprocal Procurement, restricting eligibility to Canadian suppliers and suppliers from applicable trading partners. The technical proposal must address all mandatory criteria outlined in Annex G, where any item marked “must” or “mandatory” is a pass/fail requirement; noncompliance with any single mandatory element results in immediate rejection. The financial offer must be presented in Canadian dollars and include all applicable taxes separately, while excluding customs duties. Upon delivery, the contractor must provide a complete set of English and/or French documentation covering technical specifications, installation, and operation, and deliver onsite training to operators within 30 calendar days of installation. All shipments must comply with environmentally preferable packaging standards, using only reusable, returnable, or recyclable materials, with packaging tape as the sole exception.
