The contract involves the provision of general construction and renovation services for the TBU 27 building located in Regina, Saskatchewan, for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The scope of work includes extensive renovations on both the main and second floors. On the main floor, tasks include demolition of existing walls, ceilings, and flooring in certain areas, construction of two new offices, installation of new ductwork, diffusers, HVAC control systems, a rooftop unit room supported by a steel stand, new walls, ceilings, light fixtures, and control valves for existing radiation. The second-floor work entails installing new ceilings, ductwork, diffusers, control systems, and rooftop units to service both floors. This procurement is structured as a two-phase competition. The first phase seeks to pre-qualify bidders who meet mandatory requirements, after which qualified bidders will be invited to submit financial bids in the second phase. The list of pre-qualified bidders remains valid for 60 days or until the contract award. Only Canadian suppliers are eligible to participate, and bids must comply with security requirements and the Government of Canada’s policies. Selection will be based on the lowest-priced compliant bid. All related documentation, amendments, and updates will be posted on the Government Electronic Tendering Service (GETS), and it is the bidders’ responsibility to regularly monitor the platform. The RCMP also emphasizes supplier integrity through the Ineligibility and Suspension Policy and encourages Indigenous businesses to register in the Indigenous Business Directory to enhance visibility and eligibility for set-aside contracts.
