Full Description

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-LAN-57375-R5, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison (Permittee), as represented by Warnetta Logan. The project consists of installing one corrugated-steel-concrete-filled caisson and one wood utility pole (Pole 5036222E) on the Racer 16kV distribution line owned and operated by Southern California Edison. Project activities will result in 0.111-acre of temporary impacts, and 0.001-acre of permanent impacts, along 20 linear feet of the Santa Clara River. This 0.112-acre impact consists of scale broom scrub and unvegetated riverbed. Project site access will occur along 197 feet of the Santa Clara River. Project activities will require crushing and trampling of herbaceous and subshrub vegetation during access and operations, as well as ground disturbance associated with the excavation process to install the new caisson and Pole 5036222E. The project also includes the restoration of all project areas, including the regrading of channel areas back to their pre-project contours, removal of project-generated waste, and the restoration of channel ecology and morphology upon completion of the project.
