The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Region 4, has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement Notification No. EPIMS-TUL-60279-R4 with the Southern California Edison Company. Pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, the project involves the removal of one 45-foot-long, 15-inch diameter wood utility pole and its replacement with a 50-foot-long, 17.5-inch diameter composite utility pole, identified as Pole 301843E, along with an associated ground rod. The project is located in Tulare County, California, within a tributary to Mankins Creek, approximately one mile northwest of the intersection of North Fork Drive and Kaweah Drive and half a mile south of the community of Kaweah. Under the California Code of Regulations, title 14, section 15301, the project is classified as a Class 1 categorical exemption, as it is considered a minor alteration of an existing public utility facility with negligible environmental impact.
