The contracting department at NCTAMS LANT, Norfolk intends to solicit and award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to Verizon Business Network Services, Inc. for services to provide uninterruptible wireless telecommunications for Naval Station Newport, RI and Naval Weapons Station Earle, NJ. The contract will be under the authority of FAR sub-section 6.302-1(a) (2) (iii); Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This synopsis/notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A complete RFQ # N7027220Q0013, by downloading the documents at the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) Website as follows: http://www.neco.navy.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101 requiring the dissemination of information for proposed contract actions and is not a request for competitive proposals NCTSAMSLANT will not be responsible for any costs incurred by interested parties in responding to this notice.
