The requirement demands high-volume coding capacity, with an expected monthly volume of 25,000 to 45,000 records and a strict quality threshold requiring an error rate below four percent per coder. Qualified providers must supply NCHS-certified nosologists or similarly qualified medical coders and demonstrate the ability to begin performance within one week of award. Performance is expected to occur primarily via remote telework during standard weekday business hours. Due to the sensitive nature of the data, contractors must comply with FIPS 199, Executive Order 13556 regarding Controlled Unclassified Information, and the HHS Information Security Program, utilizing government-furnished equipment and PIV cards for secure network access.
