The Claiborne County Board of Supervisors is seeking lump sum cost proposals for Project No. CC-2026-FD-PR-01, which involves repairing failed concrete areas and reconstructing the parking lot at the Fire Station Road and Parking Area located at 412 Market St., Port Gibson, Mississippi. The project covers approximately 15,525 square feet and requires the contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to install a heavy-duty concrete structure capable of supporting fire apparatus. Technical specifications include the installation of 10-inch thick Portland Cement Concrete with a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 4,000 psi, reinforced with #5 steel bars at 12 inches on-center. The subbase must consist of 6 to 12 inches of MDOT-approved Crushed Stone Base (Type A, Size 610) compacted to 100 percent maximum dry density. Final grading must maintain a 1.5 to 2 percent cross-slope to prevent water ponding. All work must comply with Mississippi Department of Transportation and Mississippi Office of State Aid Road Construction guidelines. A critical requirement of the contract is the maintenance of emergency operations; the contractor must submit a phased construction plan to the Fire Chief and Project Manager to ensure continuous emergency apparatus access and ingress/egress.
