This is the planting of trees in Urban areas of 6 MS Coastal counties and 17 Municipalities. This is performed under the RESTORE grant.

The Mississippi Forestry Commission is seeking a qualified contractor for a requirements contract to supply and plant trees in urban areas across 17 municipalities within six coastal counties: Pearl River, Stone, George, Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson. Funded by the RESTORE grant, the project requires the contractor to perform site inspections, locate underground utilities, and provide a one-year warranty on all plant materials. All work must be completed by April 1, 2028, with an initial performance period from January 1, 2027, to December 31, 2027, and the possibility of up to four optional renewals. To be eligible, bidders must have at least three years of tree planting experience, provide references for similar Mississippi projects completed within the last five years, and employ an ISA-certified arborist who must be present on-site during planting. The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest price for 7-gallon and 15-gallon container-grown trees. Required documentation includes proof of business registration with the Mississippi Secretary of State, state certifications for all applicators, and comprehensive general liability insurance of at least 1 million dollars per occurrence. Bids are due by October 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST via the MAGIC portal, email, or physical delivery.
