AI Contract Overview
The contract pertains to a tiered solicitation for grounds maintenance services at Ft. Missoula National Cemetery in Montana, under solicitation number 36C78626Q50119, posted by the Department of Veterans Affairs' National Cemetery Administration. The acquisition follows a tiered set-aside approach, prioritizing offers from Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) first, then Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), and if neither tier garners adequate competition, consideration will be extended to other small businesses. Vendors must be actively registered in SAM.gov at the time of quote submission and award to be eligible. The response deadline is May 11, 2026, at 2:00 pm MDT. A site visit is scheduled for April 30, 2026, at 9:00 am at the Ft. Missoula National Cemetery parking lot and is strongly encouraged but mandatory for interested vendors to fully understand contract requirements. Questions about the solicitation must be submitted via email to the designated point of contact, David Hester, by May 1, 2026, with answers to be posted in an amendment no later than May 5, 2026 on SAM.gov. Vendors are responsible for monitoring amendments, and failure to acknowledge any changes may result in their quotes being declared non-responsive. Late submissions will not be accepted, and complete, detailed responses addressing all solicitation requirements are essential, as the Government will evaluate only the provided information without making assumptions about vendor capabilities or past performance. Overall, this opportunity emphasizes compliance with procedural requirements, timely communication, and thorough preparation to ensure consideration.
