The San Francisco International Airport Terminal 3 Modernization Project involves a comprehensive upgrade of the western portion of Terminal 3, aiming to expand the facility by approximately 631,022 gross square feet and renovate about 516,644 gross square feet of existing space. The project includes upgrading building systems, seismic retrofitting, enhancing passenger flow and experience, and renovating gates to support both international and domestic flights with increased flexibility. Key components involve expanding Boarding Area F, integrating a consolidated Baggage Handling System, and constructing a new sterile connector to International Boarding Area G. The terminal will remain operational during phased construction, requiring careful planning to minimize disruptions. A significant part of this modernization is the Courtyard 4 Connector (C4C), a new seven-story structure connecting Terminal 3 with the International Terminal, featuring secure passenger corridors, baggage systems, office spaces, passenger lounges, a CBP security checkpoint, and mechanical system upgrades. Within this scope, the C4C Interior Framing and Drywall Trade Package (Trade Package No. C18) covers metal stud framing, drywall installation, joint finishing, fire-stopping, and related interior work, with an estimated cost of $7 million. The bid deadline for this package is April 14, 2025, and it requires a 30% participation of small, disadvantaged, or local businesses, with prequalification details available through the designated contact. The project is managed by SFO Construction under the California agency, with primary contact Tiffany Gonzalez-Ruiz.
