The transmission construction project shall consist of constructing an overbuild of an approximately 14.4-mile segment of the existing 25kV Fort McCoy to Salt Springs 3-phase distribution line with a new 115kV transmission line (Transmission Project). The Project is located alongside County Road 316, from Fort McCoy to Salt Springs, Marion County, Florida, and crosses the Ocklawaha River. The Project consists of installing 195 new spun-concrete 115kV transmission poles, one new spun concrete guy pole, and two direct embedded steel 115kV transmission poles. Conductors shall be (3) 477 ACSR (Hawk) and (1) OPGW (CentraCore or equivalent). The 25kV overhead distribution line will remain energized during the Transmission Project. The Transmission Project does not include construction of the underbuild.
