This contract involves the provision of Travel Management Services for the American Embassy in Suva, Fiji. The contractor will be responsible for managing official travel arrangements for U.S. Government employees and their dependents, including both domestic and international trips. Services must adhere strictly to Department of State travel regulations. A notable challenge is the necessity to coordinate travel on small regional airlines in the southern Pacific that are not integrated into standard Computer Reservation Systems, requiring specialized knowledge and procedures. The contract is expected to include a base performance period followed by two option years, allowing for an extended term if all parties agree. While the solicitation was planned for release around December 2010, the posting date shows early March 2011, indicating the procurement process was underway during that time. Offers were open to all responsible sources, with submission instructions specifying that no paper or electronic proposals would be accepted. The designated point of contact for the contract is Kevin Babcock, the General Service Officer, who can be reached via the provided phone number and email.
