Tree Planting

St. Clair County, acting through the Public Building Commission of St. Clair County and represented by the MidAmerica St. Louis Airport Department of Engineering and Planning, is soliciting bids for solicitation number 2025-25.08. The project involves the installation of 82 owner-furnished trees at the Kaskaskia River State Fish and Wildlife Area in Baldwin, Illinois, as part of the MidAmerica Airport tree replacement program. The selected contractor will be responsible for all labor, equipment, tools, supervision, transportation, and incidental materials required for receiving, handling, transporting, planting, watering, mulching, and establishing the trees in accordance with project specifications and accepted arboricultural practices. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on qualifications, compliance, and pricing. Awarded contractors must provide performance and payment bonds for 100 percent of the contract price, adhere to Illinois Department of Labor prevailing wage rates, and comply with St. Clair County standard insurance requirements. Additionally, bidders must submit a completed bid form, a subcontractor list, and an Abuse Prevention Program Certification. Participation by Small Business and Disadvantage Business Enterprise firms is encouraged.
