The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is conducting a sources sought market research initiative to assess the interest and capability of small and large businesses for performing tree removal services at the United States Military Academy in West Point, New York. The project requires the removal of all trees exceeding three inches in diameter at breast height from approximately one acre of steep, inclined rock face located below Thayer Hall, with the work needing to be completed between November 1, 2026, and March 30, 2027. Trees must be felled flush to the ground where practicable and all debris must be hauled offsite and disposed of properly. The site presents significant logistical challenges, including a vertical rise exceeding 100 feet in some areas and slopes ranging from vertical to 1:1, with access exclusively available from the toe of the rock face due to a multistory building constructed into the crest of the slope. This is not a solicitation for proposals but a market survey to evaluate industry interest and technical capability, with responses due by June 26, 2026, via email to Brian Mannion at the provided government address. The NAICS code for this effort is 561730, and the notice will remain active for one year from the posting date.
