The Trout Creek Cut-to-Length Stewardship IRSC solicitation (number 12363N26Q4068) is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) under the R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and is exclusively open to current BPA holders. This project involves timber harvesting activities within the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit of the USDA Forest Service in California, specifically across up to 248 acres. The work includes cut-to-length logging of sawtimber, thinning of small trees, removal of standing dead trees, treatment of small fuels through mastication or removal, and hauling of biomass and cull logs off the forest. Temporary roads will be constructed and maintained to facilitate product removal, with decommissioning following use. This acquisition is set aside entirely for small businesses, defined under NAICS code 113310 (Logging) with a size standard of 500 employees. Only responsible suppliers holding the R5 Pacific Southwest Stewardship BPA and authorized to work on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit may submit quotations by the deadline of July 9, 2026. While the set-aside pertains to contractor status, it does not restrict the sale location of removed wood products. The Department of Agriculture's Stewardship Contracting Branch is managing the solicitation, with primary and secondary contacts available for further information.
