The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development’s (DFATD) International Platform Branch (ACM), Professional and Technical Services (AWD), has identified a requirement to secure professional services to support the delivery of its programs on an as and when requested basis. DFATD’s Visual Art Collection (VAC) program acquires and circulates work by Canadian artists to Canada’s missions in 108 cities worldwide. Initiated in the 1930s, the program now manages some 6,500 works of art in all media (painting, drawing, watercolour, collage, textiles, photography, video, sculpture, ceramics, and glass). Given the large portfolio of art, the scope of this contract is to secure professional services for a period of two (2) years with an additional three (3) one-year option periods to support the VAC program. As part of this strategy, capacity on demand for program administration services will allow the VAC program to ramp up support capacity and capability to meet immediate needs, provide a continuous/sustained source of supply for high quality resources and ensure flexibility to meet current and fluctuating demands. DFATD is seeking a total of five (5) resources - four (4) Project Administrators (Junior and Intermediate) and one (1) Communications Consultant (Senior) on an “as and when requested basis”.
