NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Procurement Office: Mission & Installation Command Contracting Center, Fort Knox, Bldg 1109B, STE 250, 199 6th Avenue, Fort Knox, KY 40121 Response Date: July 5, 2PM: EDT The Mission & Installation Command Contracting Center (MICC) intends to award on a sole-sourced basis a contract to San Diego State University (SDSU) for Junior Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) camp for 50 cadets/4 cadre, 2-6 August 2011. Facility must be able to provide instructional and support staff, meals, and lodging for cadets and cadre, and the set-up and utilization of instructional facilities. The purpose of this camp is to introduce selected JROTC cadets to STEM career opportunities and curriculum, provide direct exposure to the college atmosphere and STEM related work sites, inspire the cadets to strive for academic excellence, and to continue their education beyond high school. Market research has demonstrated that the SDSU is the single facility that can meet the government's requirement for the required dates. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any vendor who believes it is capable of meeting the MICC's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which will be considered only if received by July 5 by 2pm EST. Responses to this posting must be in writing and submitted to contact@example.gov by 2pm local time, Fort Knox, Kentucky (EST) on July 5, 2011. A determination not to compete the proposed order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Please note that any prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system at www.ccr.gov prior to award in accordance with FAR part 4.11.
