The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Air and Marine program operates approximately 200 specially equipped aircraft from 20 separate locations to provide homeland air sovereignty by interdicting persons and contraband attempting to enter the United States of America illegally. The course of instruction shall consist of classroom lecture and practical exercises in the pool and field training areas. Recurrent PASS training is defined as an optional course of instruction designed as a review of the Initial PASS training course and may include specialized training for specific operating locations or aircraft types. Some types of training anticipated are: aircraft cockpit fire and smoke management, emergency egress training and water survival, land survival, field emergency medical training, first aid and principles of terrorism.
