U.S. Administration on Aging, National Resource Centers on Older Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiian Programs

The contract aims to establish the Native American Resource Center (NARC) with the primary purpose of increasing knowledge about older adults within American Indian, Alaskan Native, and Native Hawaiian communities. The center will focus on improving service delivery to elders by developing and disseminating technical information relevant to their needs. NARC will have a national scope and will address key concerns such as health issues, long-term care including in-home care, elder abuse, and other pressing challenges faced by these older populations. The objectives of NARC include gathering information, conducting performance research, and disseminating research outcomes while providing technical assistance and training to organizations serving these communities. Applicants are expected to outline anticipated program outcomes, methods for measuring these outcomes, and criteria for assessing the overall success of their proposed activities. The contract is managed by the Administration for Community Living within the Department of Health and Human Services, with Kari Benson as the primary contact.
