Modernization and Sustainment of the T-7 Family of SystemsThe U.S. Air Force is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified contractors capable of supporting the modernization and sustainment of the T-7 Family of Systems (FoS), which includes the T-7 Air Vehicle, Ground Based Training System (GBTS), Maintenance Training System (MTS), and associated components. This effort aims to address potential updates and ongoing sustainment activities beginning around Fiscal Year 2029, supporting the transition from the legacy T-38C trainer to the new T-7 platform. The initiative involves a range of technical tasks such as planning, development, testing, production, installation, integration, and sustainment of current and upgraded T-7 capabilities, including advanced safety features like Terrain and Air Collision Avoidance, Barrier Capability evaluation, selectable G-limiters for pilot training, enhanced Pilot Vehicle Interface improvements, and upgraded embedded GPS/INS navigation systems. Sustainment responsibilities extend to depot maintenance, product support, software and technical order maintenance, configuration and data management, supply chain oversight, and fleet management, requiring expertise across a broad spectrum of engineering and management disciplines. The Air Force is seeking responses from companies with demonstrated experience in aircraft sustainment and modernization, strong technical and program management capabilities, and the ability to perform all aspects of sustainment engineering, including software and hardware support, integration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), and complex supply chain management. Respondents should detail their qualifications for the modernization tasks and sustainment roles, including relevant facilities, teaming arrangements, and their business size classifications. Submission is not a request for proposal but will inform acquisition strategies, potentially impacting whether the award will be full and open or set aside for small businesses. Responses are due by July 16, 2026.

The U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) titled "Drones at the Speed of SOF (DATSS)" to identify industry capabilities in providing commercial unmanned systems (UxS), first person view (FPV) platforms, and related organic production supplies. This RFI is solely for market research and planning purposes, not a solicitation or commitment to procure products or services, and no contracts will be awarded based on responses. The government seeks detailed company information, including business size, socio-economic status, and a summary of available supplies, preferably submitted in an organized spreadsheet or within a five-page document. Responses must be registered in the System for Award Management and submitted by May 21, 2026. Respondents are cautioned not to submit classified information, and all proprietary data must be clearly marked. This effort supports USASOC and its subordinate units, with the goal of understanding the commercial availability and capabilities of UxS technologies to inform future competition or sole-source procurement decisions. Failure to respond does not exclude participation in future related solicitations, but should sole-source negotiations result, notification will be posted publicly without individual respondent communication. The point of contact for submissions is Maegan Castro at the USASOC Contracting office located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
