The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in performing maintenance, repair and preservation work in support of Utility Float, UF-8. Work will be accomplished at the Contractor's facility. The Government is seeking responses from sources that can perform the following work: UF-8 Vessel Characteristics: Length: 60 FT Width: 20 FT Hull Type: Steel Draft: 1.5 FT Light Load: 45 L Tons Coordinate with the Contracting Officer, via the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) to deliver the vessel to the Contractor's facility. Dock, wash, and clean the exterior surfaces of the vessel upon docking. Blast and preserve exterior surfaces, replace Zinc Anodes, perform Ultrasonic measurements of the hull and main deck plating thickness. Inspect vessel for damage and deterioration, (hull, main deck, tanks / voids, plating and framing). Replace non-skid system on main deck. Open, clean and test tanks / voids. Accomplish touch up preservation of tanks / voids. Undock the vessel. Arrange and coordinate the delivery of the vessel back to the Government with the Contracting Officer via the COR. The notional schedule listed below is provided for planning purposes only. The government is not obligated to pursue this schedule or a future solicitation because of this sources sought.
