ULTRA-LOW TEMPERATURE PORTABLE FREEZERS

The U.S. Navy, through the Navsup Flc Sigonella Naples Office, has issued a Sources Sought Notice for portable, benchtop Ultra-Low Temperature (ULT) freezers to assess market capability and vendor readiness for a potential future procurement. This notice, identified by solicitation number N6817126QN057 and posted on July 22, 2026, with a response deadline of July 24, 2026, is not a solicitation for proposals and will not result in a contract award. It seeks detailed information from vendors regarding their capacity to supply six brand-new, ruggedized ULT freezers meeting strict technical and operational requirements. Each unit must maintain a temperature of -80°C, have a minimum internal capacity of 0.9 cubic feet, consume less than 3.0 kWh per day to operate on limited power sources, and be built to withstand continuous shock and vibration during off-road tactical transport. Equipment must comply with NIH Manual Chapter 26101-16 and EPA Energy Star Version 2.0 standards, and include FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliant electronic data logging to ensure immutable, audit-ready temperature records. Only original equipment manufacturers or authorized resellers may respond, and all units must be new with no refurbished, used, or gray market products permitted. Vendors must provide comprehensive responses including company details, CAGE code, business size classification (e.g., small business, service-disabled veteran-owned), and whether the product is available through existing government contracts such as GSA schedules. Responses must certify the vendor’s experience in supplying similar freezers for medical, laboratory, or military applications, confirm compliance with physical dimensions and vehicle power constraints outlined in the draft Statement of Work, and validate the ability to deliver a minimum 12-month manufacturer’s warranty covering parts and labor. Each freezer must be accompanied by a Certificate of Calibration and Conformity upon delivery. Delivery, if awarded in a future solicitation, would be to DLA Distribution Sigonella at NAS II Bldg. 723 in Catania-Gela Sigonella, Italy, no later than 60 days after contract award.
