Full Description

The National Research Council Canada (NRC) has a requirement for the supply and delivery of one benchtop ultrasonic spray-coating system. An ultrasonic nozzle converts high frequency sound waves into mechanical energy which is transferred to a liquid. The liquid atomizes as it exits the nozzle helped by a stream of low velocity air to create a finely distributed mist of uniform micron-sized particles. Droplets created in this manner have a highly controlled size distribution, enabling the production of accurate and reproducible thin films. A full ultrasonic spray coating system includes the ultrasonic nozzle, along with supporting equipment such as liquid delivery, exhaust, and automated control arms.
